The convention will begin with a tour of the Micro-Trains® Line Co. factory in Talent, Oregon. The tour will take you through each step of the production process; from design in Engineering to the finished product in Assembly. You’ll also get to go through our in-house Press Shop and Creative Services department where all the car art and advertising is designed.
The next event of the convention will be a private trip to Medford’s Railroad Park which has multiple scales represented and operates nearly 10,000 feet of 7.5” gauge track that carries over 21,000 passengers per year! The park also has 8 full size rolling stock pieces on display and is currently rebuilding a 70-ton 1925 logging locomotive at the park. During our visit at the park we’ll also enjoy a catered BBQ dinner.
Saturday you’ll be able to peruse the show floor which will host a variety of Z scale manufactures, dealers, publications, etc. There will also be an operating module display, clinics*, door prizes and raffle. The exhibit hall will open to the public for a portion of the day as well.
*Watch this site for clinic schedule details to come.
The convention will conclude with a dinner banquet Saturday evening. Along with the great food and company, the banquet will include a raffle, special presentations and a special Micro-Trains banquet gift car to all who attend.
